The Smith Westerns
The Smith Westerns say they were losers in high school, so they started a band. I say their former hippie parents probably resented their own parents for being so square, so they bought their kids instruments to live vicariously through them... then their kids heard some Black Lips.
Regardless of the fact that these kids are probably too young to know who their real influences are, I can't help but get caught up in how well they do the whole 60's garage-pop thing that everyone else is already trying.
Watch them do stuff that probably got them beat up by jocks the next Monday:
